Health System Resource Centre (SHSRC) |

| 1.
Background |
RHSRC is an apex autonomous body; it would provide technical
support to NRHM, Rajasthan by acting as a Knowledge Management
Centre. In essence, it would act as mentor.
|
| 2.
Objective |
RHSRC is to serve as a think-tank for Medical, Health and
Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Rajasthan. It would
conduct operational research and suggest mid-course corrections;
provide valid inputs for planning of healthcare services
in the state of Rajasthan.
• To provide technical support in planning and monitoring.
• To ensure quality of services at various level of institutions.
• To gather national, international and local evidence to
strengthen health services
The RHSRC has a multidisciplinary team with skills in the
area of community processes, Social Science related to health,
financing of health care, quality improvement, human resource
management and public health planning.

State Asha Resource Centre |
|
The Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) acts as a catalyst
between the health system and the community by providing
services primarily in the areas of MCH, nutrition, sanitation,
drinking water. ASHA as a community activist establishes
linkage between facility based health services and ICDS
programme. and contributes toward reach the health services
at the door steps of unreached and needy. ASHA is expected
to improve access of primary health care services under
NRHM.
SARC is devised to play a pivotal role towards strengthening
the stand ASHA in the state of Rajasthan.SARC is to operationally
the ASHA in the state. SARC is to open channels for dialogues
between ASHA and the other stakeholders placed within the
hierarchy of NRHM.
SARC and RHSRC will work in conjunction within RHSRC there
is the senior consultant on community participant. It’s
impact that she/he would lead all activity of SARC.

| 4.
State Child Health Resource Centre |
The State Child Health Resource Center is running in coalition
with RHSRC (and within its institutional framework) in the
Bastian of up scaling the child health intervention in the
state of Rajasthan under NRHM.
RHSRC is creating avenue through critical gap analysis and
mid term correctional measures to bridge the critical gap
(through research and innovations) and; technical support
for the quality improvement of child health programme; thus,
creating a road maps for the CHRC.

Activities of RHSRC |
5.1 Rapid
Appraisal Studies
In
order to strengthen the process of planning; setting up
effective evaluation process and mid-term correctional
measures towards effective implementation of ongoing NRHM
in the state of Rajasthan; RHSRC has planned to conduct
various rapid assessment studies. These studies will be
conduct by the Senior Consultants. To begin with following
studies have been initiated.
1. Developing a profile of SPMU.
2. Assigning the efficiency of the SPMU.
3. SWOT Analysis of Human Resource in NRHM.
5.2
Resecrch Studies
RHSRC is also planning to conduct large scale research
studies. These studies could have immense impact on the
preparation of the PIP for the subsequent year .The studies
are to be conducted by hiring various research agencies
proposed studies are:
Concurrent Evaluation of JSY
Evaluation of 108 emergency ambulance services
Impact of Urban RCH
Assessment of DPMU.
Assessment of Income generated by RMRS in various level
of facility
Assessment of VHSC Fund utilization
Assessment of HR performance
RHSRC appeal to all web users to give us the feedback
on going research topic .we would also
Welcome suggestion form the viewer in assessing the research
need of the organization.
5.3
Workshops
and Training
RHSRC will take in cognizance the operation
of NRHM throughout the State. Concurrently all the DPMU
also needs to know the role of RHSRC. It is proposed to
convene one day workshop at each of the divisional headquarter
calling Zonal Director, CM&HO and DPM of the respective
districts. They will present the progress of the NRHM
of the respective districts and the status of the monitoring.
Thus the outcome expected from these workshops is to devise
a better road map and execution of PIP during 10-11 and
11-12. The tentative schedule of the proposed workshops
is as follows: -

Shiv Chandra Mathur,

Dr. Shiv Chandra Mathur is a public health specialist. He
has focused his work on health services research and policy.
He has been consistently involved in enhancing the capacity
of health systems particularly in public sector of Rajasthan
in India. He has published 50 scientific papers; two books,
six training modules and dozen research reports. Government
of India gave him a merit award for his writings in Hindi
in 1996-97.
He has held the assignments of Professor and Head of Preventive
and Social Medicine Department at SMS Medical College, Jaipur
(2007-09); and Government Medical College, Kota (2001-02);
Director, State Institute of Health and Family welfare,
Rajasthan (2002-2007); Professor of Community Health, SIHFW,
Rajasthan (1996-2001) and led the Health Management and
Training Wing at HCMRIPA, Jaipur during 1994-95.
He has also been associated with National Commission on
Macroeconomics and Health, NFHS-2, and sub-mission of ‘Fluorosis
Control’ under National Technology Mission. He is consistently
associated with National HIV Sentinel Surveillance since
it started in 1998. He is also participating in e-forum
of MFC, PHM, and diseasesurvellance in India and ‘Super-course’
at Pittsburgh.
He is M.B.B.S. , M.D, PG Diploma in Journalism; Rural Development
and UN , International Understanding. He has also secured
certificates by participating in long term residential program
on “Education Technology”; “Enhancing Training Competence
of Trainers”; “Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights”
and “Safe Community/Accident Prevention” from internationally
acclaimed institutes. He has also participated in e-learning
programs of World Bank Institute and USAID (global health
learning).

in the Damin and diu. Dr. Jyoti Ranjan has conducted evaluation;
for various lead health programmes .
He is also associated with operationalzing of
telemedicine unit in linkage with ISRO network.
As Regional Director of All Iindia Institute of Local
Self Government, New Mumbai he has managed
several training programmes on Health Sciences,
management and sanitation for 13 months.
